I am grieving myself...
Cracking my heart open wider still.

Moving past wounds that prevented love from entering for fear of feeling, and sinking deeper still - to the depths of myself I’ve rejected.

Holding myself tighter, for the energy I’ve expended externally trying to fix/give love to others, lovers, life... when what I really needed to do was love myself more.

I’ve returned to my own aching heart - the crying child within - and am holding her.

Holding her and holding me, in this longing to be held; to be loved.

I am grieving-feeling that ache, and liberated further, more free....
in a space of discombobulation as my being upgrades this deeper love; this whole-ing.

The search is off.
I am found.
I am love.
We are one.

That’s the headline from my own journaling this morning, which I’m sharing in case anyone else needs to hear it too. 🌹

I think perfectionism is one of the most debilitating modern ailments.
Simply accepting, even loving, ourselves, as we are, can be so deliciously liberating.

Like for me, this morning, I felt emotional. I’ve had a lot going on but there was no one good reason for me to be so upset. Or so I told myself. I was trying to figure it all out in my head, instead of simply accepting myself and my feelings as they were and letting them move.

Once I surrendered to the not knowing. Once I simply allowed myself to cry and nourish myself, then I felt a whole lot more at ease.

Holding on is tiring!
Let go.
Nobody has it all figured out!
Love yourself as you are.
Every breath is a miracle.

During a Shadow Work Self Pleasure session yesterday as part of the ISTA Festival, we were invited to explore one of the four Core Erotic Themes, as composed by Dr.Jack Morin -
1. Longing
2. The thrill of being caught
3. Power play
4. The Push/Pull dynamic
Those are my interpretations.
He explains so much more in his book The Erotic Mind should you be interested.
The idea is that we each have these imprints from childhood, which then set the foundations for desire. Huge!

I was personally exploring longing, which took me deep into my heart. Ahhh... love how Self Pleasure Rituals offer such healing. 🦋
People can often associate Tantra-type practises as base Sex, but there is so much more that encompasses our every aspect of existence. It is, ultimately, a practise that embraces all - the light and dark; spirituality and sexuality. The idea being to merge.

Shadow work is often associated with seemingly negative traits, since this ritual though I’ve been musing on the idea of Softness being Shadow!
