Every year the options for high-vibe summer shenanigans, involving yoga and meditation and all that goodness, keeps getting better. Mine started with the beautiful Beulah Beltain Retreat, continued with Setu Wellness‘ Feel Good Day at The Tetley (read more about that here) and continued through a wonderful Summer Solstice Celebration at Om Yoga Works in Falsely, Sun Sun Love Festival in Spain and more recently Noisily Festival. All have been very different and equally as nourishing. There’s more coming too.
Beulah Festival is back in Ripon for the third year running. If you’re in the Yorkshire area and into yoga or something similar then you’ve probably heard of it. This gathering is very special to me – not only because I helped run it for the last two years, but because of the community it’s helped formed. Ripples of relationships, businesses and more have blossomed from this connective source. I encourage you all to come, even for a day – kids and teen’s even have their own programmes. This really is open to everyone. Its base in Yorkshire brings a down-to-Earth vibe too.
I’ll be teaching at Beulah Festival on Sat’ from 10am, hosting a full-power vibration-raising Kundalini Yoga and double-Gong Bath. This set will be more about awakening the life-force within, opening up the flow of love within you and starting your festival off with a good, Kundalini-kick.
On Sunday, from 3pm, we’ll be working more meditatively with wondrous mantras to take us deeper into the subconscious, exploratory writing to assist those more hidden layers to the surface and a watery-focussed sound bath with gong to finish.
You really are in for a treat. The super Dee Mishka will be playing her Pluto-tuned Gong for transformation and i’ll be on my psychic-enhancing Neptune. There’s magic that flows between us – it’s even written in the stars.
I had my first gong bath at least five years ago – it touched me with full-force but I wasn’t yet ready to work in that world. Personally, I had to do more body work – enjoying the gong when it was there (I was always at the front though). Last year, at Beulah, I had a mega journey during Dee’s Gong Bath. My Mum died about eight years ago but she felt very much with me during the festival. I’d been thinking about how much she’d enjoy such an open and accepting space. In fact, it was hers and my Father’s deaths that spurred on my yoga teacher training. Then, during the Gong Bath, she came to me – I was in waves of happy tears for a while after. I explained my experience to Dee and she explained that she’s been using the Gong, along with other high-vibe and cutting-edge sources, to battle the same cancer my Mum had died from. Since then she’s been coming to play at several of my workshops. More recently I went to trial several gongs with the thought of buying one – Neptune gave me shivers immediately and I kept going back. I thought about it some more, until a friend read my full astrology chart – both Neptune and Pluto, along with the Moon, are in my house of work. That was it, sold. Not only do I love the gong – even the deepest meditation is you doing the work; sometimes you need the gong to push through those subconscious blocks – but I love this woman too. And part of the proceeds from this festival with go to her continued treatment. Over four years ago she was given two years to live but she’s worked to actually reduce the cancer and you’ll see how full of life she is.
I hope to see some of you at Beulah Festival – you can BUY TICKETS HERE . I’ll be taking a few weeks off work in August, then there’ll be our Autumn Equinox Celebration back at Om Yoga Works on Saturday 24th September. Where does the time fly? Make every moment count, people – #liveyourtruth with compassion and joy. One Love.
