Women Who See In The Dark – Ireland

Release – Reset – Resource

This retreat centres around full body aliveness, emotional fluidity, creative power, and energetic integration of body-heart-soul.

We have observed that collectively women have internalized masculine qualities in a distorted way – through force, ambition, fight, comparison etc… This historical evolution has led to a superficial women’s “independence”.

Often, being strong and independent disguises desire and pain, fear and competition, under the mask of auto-sufficiency. In truth, emotional values are not recognized, and vulnerability is hidden behind the need to prove strength.

* Is there true satisfaction in your life?
* Are you feeling nourished and joyful?
* Do you enjoy the work you do?
* Time to go deeper and reset!

**** LOCATION ****

Co. Meath, Ireland

The ancient monument seat of the High King of Ireland was at Tara, Co. Meath, which dates right back to the times of the Tuatha Dé Danann (the Otherworld beings, or fairies).

Meath is colloquially known by the nickname “The Royal County”, owing to its history as the seat of the High King of Ireland. Meath means ‘middle’, denoting its location in the middle of the island.
At its greatest extent, it included all of County Meath, and parts of Cavan, Dublin, Kildare, Longford, Louth and Offaly.

The 5,0000 year old archaeological complex of Brú na Bóinne (a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site that’s older than the Egyptian Pyramids) is also located in Co. Meath, and includes the burial sites of Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth.

All sites mentioned are within half an hour’s drive of our venue.

**** VENUE ****

Dunderry Park

As The Irish Centre for Shamanic Studies in Ireland, Dunderry Park holds some magic. The land speaks. Indeed, it feels as if the land chose us (including you?!) for this very retreat.

Its 200 year old restored Georgian residence is set on 25 acres of wooded parkland with a lake, located in the historic Boyne Valley, Co. Meath, close to the ancient sacred sites of Tara, Newgrange, Sliabh na Cailleach and Uísneacht.

On the land is a modern ‘Cairn’ (imagine a Hobbit home), built on megalithic architectural designs, which we’ll use for our ‘darkness meditations’ each evening. Plus a purpose-built and well-used (read infused with strong energy) Shamanic Stage!

All profits from the centre go toward the Oaktree Charitable Trust, which funds courses for individuals and groups that have suffered from the effects of trauma such as addictions, rape, violence and, in cooperation with the Tara Centre, victims of the Omagh bombing.
Future projects include working with teenage depression, suicide prevention and children with special needs. They are also launching a programme to plant sacred groves of trees at the centre.
